Took the plunge, used thick lines. Did like 4 under drawing till i gave up on the perfect outline. Wow it’s so hard to get that outline right.

Another good concept that I didn’t get to finish. This is very loosely based off of Norman Rockwell’s Astronauts. He has such great composition and story telling in his paintings. The way he positioned the 3 astronauts was so much more dynamic. Should have looked at his picture BEFORE drawing this from memory. I’ve come to the conclusion that I should do reference research BEFORE starting the drawing.

More development on the Slamina. This is #1 Gold, the captain choosing his weapon.
I learned about grouping layers. What a life saver when it comes to organizing all the different layers for multiple items on the painting. This frees me up to make many layers. I also learned about drawing slow and got a hang of some opacity control when it comes to outlines and filling. Worked on lighting and effects of light in a very minor way.
Regarding the decision I have to make. Once the trial is over, then what? It’s a mulch-layred decision.
